DAMASCUS, Nov 19 (NNN-SANA) – A total of 10 Syrian soldiers and pro-government fighters were killed, by fresh Israeli strikes on Syrian military sites, in the capital, Damascus, before daybreak yesterday, a war monitor reported.
The Israeli strikes targeted an air defence position of the Syrian army, as well as, depots of the pro-Iran fighters and the Lebanese Hezbollah group, in the southern and south-western Damascus, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The Britain-based watchdog group said, the death toll includes three Syrian soldiers and five Iranian fighters, as well as, two fighters believed to be Iraqis or Lebanese.
Throughout the Syrian crisis, Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes against Iranian targets in Syria, as well as, convoys transporting weapons to Hezbollah, a Lebanese militia, allegedly backed by Iran.– NNN-SANA
