Cambodian Woman Returning From U.S. Tests Positive For COVID-19

PHNOM PENH, Nov 18 (NNN-AKP) – A Cambodian woman tested positive for the COVID-19, after arriving in the kingdom, from the United States, the Ministry of Health (MoH), said in a statement, today.

The 49-year-old woman landed in the capital, Phnom Penh, on Monday, from the United States, via a connecting flight in South Korea.

“The result of her samples’ test showed that the woman was positive for COVID-19, and she is currently undergoing treatment at the Chak Angre Health Centre, in southern Phnom Penh,” the MoH said.

The remaining 123 passengers on the same flight have been placed under a 14-day mandatory quarantine, at various quarantine centres in the capital, it added.

The Southeast Asian country recorded a total of 304 confirmed COVID-19 cases to date, the MoH said, adding that, none have died and 291 have recovered.– NNN-AKP
