NEW DELHI, Nov 18 (NNN-PTI) – India’s COVID-19 tally reached 8,912,907 today, as 38,617 new cases were registered across the country in the past 24 hours, the latest data, released by the federal health ministry showed.
With 449 deaths since yesterday morning, the total death toll in the country mounted to 130,519, added the ministry’s data.
There are 446,805 active cases in the country, while 8,335,109 people have been successfully cured and discharged from hospitals, so far.
The government’s focus has been on ramping up COVID-19 testing facilities across the length and breadth of the country.
Till yesterday a total of 127,480,186 tests were conducted in the country, out of which 937,279 tests were conducted yesterday alone, revealed the data from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), today.– NNN-PTI
