BUENOS AIRES, Nov 15 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) – More than 10 tonnes of marijuana were seized yesterday, by the Argentinean National Gendarmerie (GNA), in the northern province of Misiones, said the Ministry of Security.
With the help of sniffer dogs, the drugs were seized in a joint operation, carried out by GNA and judicial officers, in the province, after a truck carrying them were stopped along a road, about 796 km north of Buenos Aires, the ministry said in a statement.
“The deployment of the GNA is part of the instructions that the Minister of Security has given, so that the Federal Police and Security Forces can work together in the prevention and neutralisation of complex crimes in the country,” the ministry said.– NNN-PRENSA LATINA
