Saudi-led coalition foils new Houthi drone attack

RIYADH, Nov 13 (NNN-Xinhua) — The Saudi Arabia-led coalition involved in a war in Yemen announced the foiling of a new drone attack by the Houthi militia.

The coalition’s spokesperson, Brigadier General Turki Al Malki, said that a bomb-laden drone launched toward the kingdom’s southern region was intercepted, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The coalition announced earlier on Thursday the destroying of a Houthi bomb-laden drone in Yemen before reaching its target in Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi-led coalition intervened in the civil war in Yemen, which started in late 2014, in 2015 to support the government led by Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi. — NNN-XINHUA
